Return Policy

Returns:

Motherboards, memory and processors must be returned unopened within 7 days for refund. All items that are returned or exchanged for different items are subject up to a 20% restocking fee. We may, at our discretion only charge a 5% restocking fee provided the item is returned with non-ripped packaging in un-used condition. Items must be returned with a receipt (We keep receipts on file, if you cannot locate your copy, do not hesitate to contact us for a copy). No returns or refunds on consumable items, printers, printer cartridges, services, or items returned incomplete or without all original packaging. All returns are either credited back to the original card used for purchase, or issued a company cheque within 14 days.

Warranty on repairs is for 180 days on parts and services. We offer 1 year warranty or more on most screen replacements, check your invoice or the product page for more information.  Where the manufacturers warranty is longer than 180 days, you must then deal directly with the manufacturer, we can facilitate this for you for a fee. Any and all physical damages can result in void of your warranty

Minimum Bench Fees: 

To cover administration and operations costs, Bill & Dave Computer Repair charges a minimum bench fee for all devices which is then applied to the final invoice for the repair. The fees are $75.00 for Phones and other small devices, $85.00 for Game Consoles/GPS units, $99.00 for Tablets/iPads and other medium sized devices, $119.00 for Laptops/Desktops/All-In-One PCs and $159.00 for Gaming Computers. These amounts are non-refundable and are charged regardless of the outcome of any repair including if the repair is canceled by you. Due to the nature of the business and the costs involved in provided our services, Bill & Dave Computer Repairs offers absolutely no direct refunds. Labour is non-refundable. For purchases or parts ordered an agreement can made with the client and our management for in-store credit only.

We do not re-assemble non-repaired or broken devices free of charge.  If you decline to have the device repaired, depending on circumstances, there may be additional charges for assembly of non-functioning devices.

 

Onsite or Remote Services – Emergency and by Appointment

To cover administration and operations costs, Bill & Dave Computer Repair charges a minimum fee for emergency onsite or remote support requests of $75.00.  This amount is applied to the final bill if you proceed with the emergency services.   If a technician has been dispatched to your location, the regular minimum fee’s for the service level you have requested apply.  These amount are non-refundable.   Our minimum amounts for onsite and remote services can be found here: https://billanddave.ca/services/onsite-tech-support/  and here: https://billanddave.ca/services/remote-tech-support


Special Order Parts and Labour:
 

Bill & Dave Computer Repair Inc. offers absolutely no refunds on Labour. For any special order parts, the client/customer is responsible for shipping both ways, and up a 20% re-stocking fee to cancel orders or return any parts ordered which we do not regularly stock.

Abandoned Computers: 

Computers that are diagnosed as non-repairable or not cost effective for repair, will be disposed of if abandoned for over 60 days at our sole discretion. Any devices abandoned over 180 days without prior arrangements will be disposed of at our discretion. It is the customers responsibility to verify that we have the correct contact information on file.

Subscriptions:

All Subscriptions are subject to the terms and conditions of the respective services.  Any commitments agreed to are non-refundable.
